CLYNK Results as of 10/23/2017

CEMS has raised $456.50 with CLYNK in just these first 3 1/2 weeks of October! That is amazing! 1st place continues to go to Mrs. Karlonas’ class with $21.00 in returnables. There is a tie for 2nd between the Lawlor-Rohner / Payne Advisory Team and Mrs. Geikie’s Homeroom as they have both collected $14.40 this month. Team Ramsey / Dana and Mr. Kerr have tied at 3rd with $10.35 being deposited. Mrs. Arbour stays near the top in 4th bringing in $8.35. We have a few teams who aren’t on the board yet this month. Remember 5th and 6th grade, grab bags from your homerooms and 7th and 8th Grade from your advisories.

We will announce the winner for October at the end of next week!

Hannaford Grocery Card Fundraiser:

Hannaford Grocery Card Fundraiser:

With the participation of 33 families (10 new!) this October, grocery card reloads totaling $11,600 earned $560 for MS teacher grants and outdoor education! You, too, can participate in this no-cost fundraiser! It’s free and so easy!! Just send in a check with your filled out form to the MS front office and you will receive a Hannaford grocery card for the full amount of your check. Hannaford gives the MSPA 5% of every dollar loaded onto your card. You decide to which grade’s outdoor fund your 5% gets allocated or you may choose to allocate funds to MS teacher grants. Send in checks by the due dates listed and we will reload your same card each month. The next due date for checks is November 8th!

Questions? Please email .

See here how your child’s Chewonki fundraising is going. The MSPA has set each class’s goal of reducing tuition by $90 per student but last year’s 6th grade class was able to reduce their tuition by $135 per student!! Excess funds raised/unused move with your child’s class into High School.

Hockey season is just around the corner. We are expecting to have enough skaters to field two teams, one in each of the SMMSHL Conferences. Information on the league can be found here: or contact at 207-799-0343.

What do we need from you? In order to get a rough idea of this year’s costs, please let me know ASAP if your skater plans to play Middle School Hockey. Please send the following when you respond:

  • Birth Year
  • 2017-2018 USA Hockey Number (if you have it)
  • Whether your skater will also play House or Travel and which league
  • Email address that you prefer we use for contact

Some dates to save. Assessments/Practices have been scheduled for the following Sunday date at Troubh Ice Arena 6:40pm-7:40pm. Nov 5th. Please do your best to make these dates, as we will be forming teams based on these skates. The season start date is tentatively Nov 5th and will run through April with Playoffs in March. There will be no games Dec 24th, Dec 31, or Jan 14th. Our numbers are shrinking. You can help!

If you know of any 4th, 5th or 6th graders who skate and might be interested, please pass this information to them. There are plenty of opportunities for 4th graders to start skating now and be ready to play with us next year. Also, all pond skaters are welcome to come try hockey with us in this low pressure environment.
