Call for Basketball Bonanza Volunteers!

Basketball Bonanza will take place mid-late March and is a fun and spirit-filled evening where the CEMS teachers and staff take on the 8th grade girls and boys basketball players.

This is an opportunity for our 5th, 6th and 8th grade classes to make some much-needed cash for their upcoming adventures–Chewonki and the 8th grade celebration.

Volunteer positions available:

Chair-people: 8th grade parents – grab your friends and chair this action packed event! You will be able to watch the games so please don’t let that deter you from signing up to take part in organizing this event.

Concessions: 6th grade families this is your last effort to raise funds for Chewonki – and don’t just stop at food and drinks… think dollar store-type trinkets to add spirit to the event – glow sticks, shinny beaded necklaces, etc. Also, your kids can volunteer to work the concessions!

Raffle Organizers: 5th grade families can also raise money towards their Chewonki trip by running the raffle. In the past the 5th graders have also roamed the stands selling lollipops during the game. The raffle adds to the suspense and spirit of the evening.

Basketball Bonanza CANNOT and WILL NOT happen unless families sign up to organize this great event. Please contact Emily Ornatek Garvin or Kristen Homicz if you are interested in on of the volunteer positions. Thank you!!
